Diploma Courses

 

Scottish Massage Schools (SMS) have been running courses since 1992. We are now an SQA Approved Centre offering several SQA Higher National units with our courses.

 

Our diploma courses are accredited by the Scottish Manual Therapists Organisation (SMTO), the professional body for soft tissue therapists in Scotland. SMTO is affiliated to the General Council for Massage & Soft Tissue Therapies (G.C.M.T.)

 

Back in 2013, the GCMT was at the centre of setting up the new Complementary & Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC).

We offer 10 diploma course:

 

  • Diploma in Anatomy, Physiology & Pathology –

      12 days over 7 months

 

  • Diploma in Swedish Massage (DSM) –

      16 days over 8 months

 

  • Diploma in Remedial & Sports Massage (DRSM)

     16 days over 8 months 

 

  • Diploma in Advanced Remedial Massage (DARM) –

     24 days over 12 months

 

  • Diploma in Sports Event Therapy (DSET) -

     12 days over 6 months 

 

  • Diploma in Reflexology (DiR) –

     12 days over 6 months

 

  • Diploma in Clinical Aromatherapy (DCA) –

     14 days over 7 months 

 

  • Diploma in On-site Chair Massage (DOSM) –

     4 days over 2 months 

 

  • Diploma in Indian Head Massage (DIHM) –

     4 days over 2 months 

 

  • Diploma in Manipulative Therapy (DManip) –

     10 days
