Introduction to Oncology Massage will be delivered from a "Patient's Perspective" by massage therapists with personal experience of working with cancer patients.
The session objectives are:
- To dispel some myths about cancer
- To understand the benefits of massage from the Patients' perspective
- To define Oncology Massage
- To explore the isssues of massage and cancer
- To raise awareness of special massage techniques
- To provide a short practical session
- To communicate the goals for Oncology massage in Scotland
- To provide information on post graduate training
